Greetings and welcome! For anyone interested in the Digital Occult Library, I am posting this to explain why the site has stagnated for so long and to announce my intentions to return to active updates and management. For the past few years I have been suffering from debilitating, chronic health issues. After a long process of getting diagnosed and treated I am finally at a place where I can return to the work and hobbies that I find fulfilling, including the DOL. I wouldn’t share personal life details but I want my readers to understand what is going on behind the scenes and also be open about something that I think deserves attention and representation (i.e. chronic illness). My physical and mental recovery is still going slowly so I can’t promise a robust schedule at the moment. However, I want anyone interested in my work here on the site to know that I am still invested in it and think it is worth expanding and updating. I appreciate everyone’s understanding and support and I look forward to making this site a place where everyone and anyone can come to find elucidation and inspiration.

*I am not a certified librarian. My credentials are a master’s degree in Liberal Studies (Western Intellectual Tradition) and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Comparative Literature. Real librarians have a master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) or Library and Information Science (MLIS). I’m the only one here at the “library” so I can’t help but style myself as its “librarian”.
